Slope Soaring

Some of the members in the club are into slope flying.  We are always looking for new slope flying sites so if you have any ideas please let the club know.

The site that we use the most is the Transfer Trail site.  It is located near Glenwood Springs.  The prevailing wind is out of the west which gives the site great lift.  The landings are made cross wind onto the dirt road.  The slope is covered with oak brush and is forgiving if you happen to land in it.  The wind usually comes up around 12:30 pm.
